Which products should I use to care for my extensions?

Please note that we only recommend Black Swan Beauty & Academy care products. The quality and lifespan of your extensions may vary when using other products or brands.

Our care range was developed specifically for our extensions. The products are moisturizing, gentle, and contain all the nutrients your extensions need to last as long as possible. Our Luxurious Shampoo can also be used to wash tape-in ​​extensions without affecting the adhesive—other shampoos may contain a lot of oil or other ingredients that can affect the adhesive strength of the tape.

What should I pay attention to?

Avoid washing your hair for at least 48 hours after applying your extensions (tape-in ​​and bonded extensions). The adhesive/keratin needs to harden completely. After you have avoided washing for 48 hours, you can now wash your extensions with our care products. Don't wait much longer, though, as the natural oils produced by your scalp can affect the adhesive strength of the tapes. Always brush your hair before washing it. You should use an extensions brush for this. Avoid washing your hair upside down, as this can stress the tapes. The extensions, scalp, and hair near the tape-ins/bondings should be washed thoroughly, avoiding excessive rubbing. Make sure that no conditioner, hair mask, or similar products get between the tape-in ​​adhesive strips. Use these products only on the lengths and ends. We recommend using our Luxurious Mask at least once a week. Apply it and let it work for at least 7-10 minutes. Use our Luxurious Oil before blow-drying or for styling, but avoid using the tape in adhesive strips or keratin areas. Trim the ends if necessary. Sleep with dry hair. We recommend tying the extensions in a loose braid or braid at night.

Can I dye or tint the extensions?

Our extensions can be tinted or colored darker using high-quality products from a salon. It is important to ensure that the extensions are tinted or colored evenly.

How long can I wear the extensions?

With proper and careful care, our extensions can last up to two years or longer. For more information, please refer to our care products.

Can I exchange or return the extensions?

For hygiene reasons, no returns are accepted.

Extensions can be exchanged for a different color after consultation with us. This depends on the individual case and will only be approved once.

Please note that extensions, like all other items, are hygiene products. It is important that the products have not been tried on, opened, or incorporated into your own hair, that they show no signs of wear, and that they are returned in their original packaging. The extensions are attached to the adhesive strips with a label and must not be removed.

Special orders and products on sale are also excluded from returns.
